Richard E. Pedack
Mr. Pedack is President of Seattle Specialty. Prior to forming Seattle Specialty in 1992, Rick developed the Lender Based Fire & Flood Insurance programs for the Minnehoma Insurance Company. Early in his career, he served as an officer of First Interstate Bank of Washington's Retail Banking Division.
Rick is a licensed insurance agent/broker in all states and an active member of several trade organizations, including Mortgage Bankers Association, Independent Insurance Agents of America, Professional Insurance Agents, Washington Surplus Lines Association and Affiliated Financial Insurance Brokers.
In addition to his role with Seattle Specialty, Mr. Pedack serves as Chairman of the Board for Mountain Pacific Bank and has served in a number of volunteer positions with both Christ the King Lutheran Church and the Boy Scouts of America.
He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Central Washington University.
Senior Vice President - Client Services
Ms. Husa has over 24 years of experience in lender products, including service management, marketing, underwriting, and product development in connection with mortgage & collateral protection and a comprehensive variety of other lender products. Prior to joining Seattle Specialty, Ms. Husa was an Associate Vice President of Minnesota Mutual Life Insurance and Fastrac Insurance Management Systems.
Senior Vice President - Information Technology
Mr. Fricke has been a professional in the insurance industry for over 25 years. His experience stems from several leadership roles within the industry, including roles as President of Fastrac Insurance Management Systems and Divisional Vice President of Alexander Hamilton Life Insurance Company.
He earned his B.S. from Washington State University.
Senior Vice President - Marketing
Mr. Duffy has over 30 years of experience in the Mortgage Insurance industry. His past roles include Executive Vice President of Whitehall Insurance Brokers, Senior Vice President of Safeco Select Insurance Services and Senior Vice President of S.E.S. Insurance, a division of Great American. Mr. Duffy is nationally recognized for his expertise in Lender Placed Insurance and Tracking Services.
He earned his B.S. from California State University, Fresno.
Senior Vice President - Flood
Mr. Palmer has over 31 years of experience working with the Write Your Own (WYO) program since its inception in 1983 which includes an in depth institutional knowledge of the National Flood insurance Program (NFIP). Mr. Palmer is nationally recognized for his success and expertise in the following Flood Insurance disciplines; including underwriting, claims, marketing, customer service, policy administration, risk management, and agent education. His has been associated with several of the significant WYO Companies including Omaha Property & Casualty, Redlands Insurance Company, and the Selective Insurance Company. He earned his B.S degree in Political Science from the University of South Dakota.
Vice President - Information Technology
Mr. Benn has over 20 years of experience in software development, both inside and outside of the insurance industry. He has worked with General Electric, Fastrac Insurance Management Systems and First American Title.
He earned his B.S. from Weber State University.
Vice President - Financial Planning and Analysis
Mr. Girard has over 25 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, budgetary control and management reporting. Prior to that, he served as V.P Finance and Controller for the Power Division of SNC-Lavalin, one of leading engineering and construction groups in the world.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Laval University, Quebec, Canada.
He is a CPA, CA (Chartered Accountant from Canada) and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).
Vice President - Marketing
Mr. Flaherty has over 25 years of sales experience working with financial institution agents, community banks and credit unions.
He earned his B.A. from Carson Newman College.
Vice President - Hawaii Branch
Mr. Fujiyama has over 18 years of experience in the insurance industry. In the past, Steve worked with Finance Insurance Limited and currently, he oversees the Seattle Specialty Hawaii Office in Honolulu.
He earned his B.A. from the University of Hawaii.
Vice President - Marketing
Mr. Harbaugh has nearly 40 years of experience in the Financial services insurance industry. His resume holds the following positions: Vice President of Balboa Insurance Company, President of Rainier Bank Insurance Agency, Vice President of Century National Insurance Company and Vice President of State National Insurance Company. Mr. Harbaugh is recognized throughout the Northwestern United States for his expertise in lender-related insurance products and services.
He earned his MBA from University of Washington.
Vice President - Operations
Mr. Morrison has over 35 years of experience in banking and insurance operation expertise. Prior to joining Seattle Specialty, Mr. Morrison served in a number of operational management roles with Bank of America and served as a consultant for Bank of America, Fastrac Systems and PDP. Currently, Mr. Morrison is responsible for managing Seattle Specialty's SOC 1.2 Audit (SSAE 16) Certification.
He earned his B.S. from Montana State University.
Vice President - Claims & Human Resources
Ms. Waughman has nearly 20 years of experience in claims, specializing in Fraud Investigations for the Allstate Insurance Group. She is also a Licensed Adjuster.
She earned her B.S. from St. John's University in New York
Assistant Vice President - Claims
Mr. Quigley has nearly 20 years of experience in claims and operational management with the Allstate Insurance Company. He is also a Licensed Adjuster.
He earned his B.A. from University of Colorado.
